Q?

After applying Kokoto should I still water my plants?

A.

Yes definitely. After applying Kokoto please water your plants with the usual amount of water.

Q?

Can I use Kokoto to fertilize my vegetables and herbs? Is there no risk of burns?

A.

Burns can only occur if more than the recommended amount of fertilizer is applied, and even then it is a rare occasion this happens. Please however ensure you follow Kokoto’s fertilization recommendations.

I do rarely use fertilizer and forget it quite often. However if I remember can I just give my plants twice the recommended amount?

A.

No please don’t so that in any case! It is better to use a small amount of Kokoto but therefore on a regular basis. Usually we recommend to fertilize your plants with Kokoto every 3-4 weeks.

Q?

I have cats and dogs. Can I still use Kokoto?

A.

There is no reason to worry at all. Kokoto is 100% safe and not harmful to your pets.

If I have used Kokoto, when do I next apply the fertilizer?

A.

After the first application you can use Kokoto to fertilize your plants again after 3-4 weeks.

Is the amount of nitrogen Kokoto contains too low?

A.

No! Kokoto is a so called value-adding-fertilizer which means the amount of nitrogen it contains is lower compared to mineral fertilisers, however the entire amount of nitrogen your plants needs is in your Kokoto fertilizer. And most importantly your plant can also make use of all the nitrogen.

What if my child unintentionally eats or swallows a pellet?

A.

Kokoto is not harmful to humans and does not contain any harmful chemicals such as pathogenic germs. However we still you recommend you go and see a doctor.

Should I use the Kokoto granulate or pellets? What is the difference?

A.

Regarding the fertilizing effect there is no difference between the granulate and the pellets. However if you use Kokoto to fertilize across extensive areas we would recommend you use the granulate and for individual plant fertilization, such as your pot plants, we recommend using the sticks.

How comes I can use Kokoto as a fertilizer for almost all my plants if there is a speciality fertilizer available for all the various plant types?

A.

Kokoto is a value-adding-fertilizer, 100% free of any free of any chemical additives. Because of its small amount of nitrogen, much less than most other fertilizers available on the market, your plant can fully absorb it. Hence your plant also only needs a much smaller amount of fertilizer. Using Kokoto does not mean you cannot use other specialty fertilizers if you wish to. We consider Kokoto as the the #1 basic nutrition for your plants that you should use regardless!

How do I apply the Kokoto sticks?

A.

Please put the Kokoto sticks right next to your plant in the soil. The stick should be close, if possible touching the plant’s roots. The amount of sticks per plant depends on the type of plant as well as its size. After adding the Kokoto stick, please water as usual.

Can I also use Kokoto in liquid form as a fertilizer for my plants?

A.

Yes, you can use the entire amount (100 grams) of the Kokoto granulate and dissolve it in 10 litres of water. Please let the Kokoto water solution rest overnight in your watering can. Before applying the solution to your plants please ensure to stir the liquid well.

Is Kokoto also available in liquid form?

A.

At the moment Kokoto is only available granulate and pellets. However we are working on offering a liquid solution on the market soon.

Can I also use KOKOTO to fertilize the plants in my vegetable patch?

A.

Yes, you can also use KOKOTO to fertilize the plants in your vegetable patch. If you do, please ensure to add the fertilizer to topmost layer of soil. If using the pellets/sticks please stick the recommended amount of sticks for your plant next to it in the soil. Kokoto is a 100% Organic Fertilizer and hence is most suitable to be used as a fertilizer for your vegetables and herbs.
